Using Accidentals

Accidentals is a tool for practicing music theory. You’re welcome to use it for your own learning and in teaching. Please don’t try to disrupt the service, copy it wholesale, or use it for anything unlawful.

Your progress

Your progress is currently saved only in your browser. We can’t recover it if your browser’s data is cleared, so we aren’t responsible for lost progress.

Our content

The app’s design, text, code and artwork belong to Accidentals. Music theory itself belongs to everyone.

No warranty

We work hard to keep the content correct, but Accidentals is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We aren’t liable for any damages that come from using it, to the extent the law allows.

Changes

We’ll update these terms as the app grows (for example, when accounts or purchases arrive). The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use Accidentals after an update means you accept the new terms.
